Cookie policy
Information about cookies and browser storage.
Definition and purpose of cookies
Cookies are small files that a website can store on your computer, phone or tablet through your browser. Depending on their purpose, they can maintain a session, remember preferences or provide information about how a service is used.
Session storage is different from cookies: it keeps temporary information in the browser for a particular tab. This policy also explains that feature where it affects browsing.
What types of cookies are there?
Cookies can be classified by who manages them, how long they last and what they do. These categories describe common technologies; the specific use on this website is explained below.
- First-party: managed by the website operator. Third-party: managed by another entity providing a service.
- Session: temporary during browsing. Persistent: remain for a defined period or until deleted.
- Technical: enable functions such as access, security or basic service operation.
- Preference: remember browsing choices. Analytics: help measure website usage. Advertising: enable ad personalisation or measurement.
What does this website use?
When you switch languages, the website temporarily saves your reading position, selected tab and open questions. This information restores the same position on the translated page and does not include contact form data.
The session key is called gestocks-language-position. It is removed when the position is restored; data older than two minutes is not used. Session storage ends when the tab is closed.
When you close the newsletter prompt, the session key gestocks-newsletter-dismissed remembers this preference so it does not reopen while browsing in the same tab. It contains no email address and is removed when the tab is closed.
Providers and third-party services
We have not added third-party analytics or advertising tools to this website’s code. Private access and hosting may use the platform provider’s technical session and security mechanisms.
The website is hosted on ChatGPT Sites. Provider technologies relating to hosting and private access are also subject to the provider’s privacy information. Links to external services, such as the customer area, take you to platforms with their own terms.
Managing cookies
You can view, block or delete cookies and website data in your browser’s privacy settings. If you block session storage, language switching will still work, but your reading position may not be retained.
You can find your browser’s official instructions using the links below. Deleting cookies may sign you out or reset preferences.
Consent and changes to technologies
Technologies requiring consent must be preceded by information about their purpose and the option to accept or reject them. Browsing or reading this policy does not, on its own, authorise optional uses.
If new services change this use, the information will be updated and any required consent options made available before activation.
